The route starts at the end of the beach Makrigiali. First stop is at Prasoudi where there are ruins of an early Christian Basilica. The trail continues onto the opposite shore, and then after the cicumnavigation of the cove's entrance Marsh for a walk in the old riverbed of Kalama. Exiting at Papadia, assuming you can drag the boat for a few metres to the sandy beach as the old riverbed has no direct communication with the sea. Next stop is adjacent to the organized beach where we start on the return leg. Leaving the best to last, the return journey. The cave is located at the opposite end of the island Prasoudi. Upon entering, you will find a small pebble beach (about 5 meters long), while the roof of the cave is about 6 feet above us.

The Kalodiki Wetlands belong to the Municipality of Margariti and is 35km from Igoumenitsa, west of Highway Igoumenitsa-Preveza. It has an area of 4,000 acres from which a portion is utilized by agricultural vegetation and the rest is covered by water. The wetland has a vast variety of habitats with significant ecological value and represents one of the great wetlands of Western Greece. Due to its geographical location, the area is of particular importance to birds, as migrating birds stop in Western Greece. The pond is filled with water lillies, which bloom in May, it is a unique spectacle for visitors.
