Souli
Souli is found in a small flat area (plain), at the top of an abrupt height, 600 metres above the watercourse of Acheron river. An abrupt path goes down to the river, while behind it there is raised an imposing chain of mountains. The Community of Suli borders at the North with the Municipality Paramithia, at the South with the Prefecture Preveza, at the East with the Prefecture of Ioannina and at the West with the Municipality of Acheron.
The gaze of the visitor is captured by the wild beauty. The historic elements are obvious if one sees the Kiafa Castle. Kugi, the place where the monk Samuel was sacrificed, the shafts that people used to get water, the path leading to the springs of the Acheron River, the church of Saint Dimitrios, the “stair way of Tzavelena”, the path of Souliotes.
There are stony mountains and the land of Souli is rather rough. The scenery is austere, chaste and Doric.
